all interpersonal relationships teach us something about ourselves. love, friendships, inner community. outer community. relationship with parents. friends, lovers. colleagues. helpers. and so on. we show different parts of ourselves to different people in our life, so i think when it comes to healing, we need these interpersonal relationships, so we can observe how our body behaves in different circumstances, when its feeling safe vs when its feeling triggered or unsafe. then understand why we feel safe or unsafe and if we need to expand our inner capacity for challenges or communicate the need externally that would help us feel safer.
